Born in Wilmington North Carolina, Jim Hobbs grew up moving from base to base along the East Coast, as a Navy Brat. When he was in elementary school, Jim's dad was relocated to Prince William County Virginia, where the family finally chose to settle. A natural born leader, Jim was named captain of the very first crew team in Prince William, where he rowed for Woodbridge Senior High School. Subsequently, he became head coach for Potomac High school, where he served for 15 years.
Jim is a current member of the Manassas Rotary Club, where he gives of his time to help our community. He is a past president of the Nokesville Business Association, and in his spare time enjoys fishing, reading, hiking, sports (Hail to the Redskins!) and spending time with his family. |
